We are pleased
to announce that there is once again a monthly dub club in Bradford
!
UndergroundRoots SoundSystem in collaboration with Inspirational Sound
have relaunched DUBLAB at The Mill in Bradford. The Launch in february
was a ram jam session held together by veteran dreadlocked singer DanMan
while Daddy Freddy, Country Culture and D Bo General tore up the stage.
The session ended with two hours of UndergroundRoots and Inspiration
playing "dub for dub" with nuff entertainers on the mics.
Many thanks to all who attended and made this nite special.
In march the heavyweight
uk dub producer Steve Vibronics came from Leicester with artists Madu,
Echo Ranks & Parvez for a three way back to back dub clash. Inspiration
with Dan-I and UndergroundRoots with Bongo Chilli & Danman and the
Vibronics rattled the bass bins in turn all nite until one 15" midbass
started smoking and the session was done. Thanks to the Vibronics and
all crew for a great session.
Next up in April its another three way clash with High Pressure from Leeds.
Support on the nite is to be provided by Skygrade from Hudds. May brings
Bradfords "dubplate king" Rootsman of international fame for
a session in conjunction with Inspiration sound. (Unfortunately UndergroundRoots
cannot appear this nite.) And in June we hope to showcase Nucleus Roots
outta Manchester with their new album.
